ABOUT SPG
The Special Protection Group (SPG) is responsible for ensuring the security of the Prime Minister of India and their family. Their duties include preventing threats, designing and implementing security protocols during travel and public events, and analyzing security situations. SPG members undergo specialized training and possess skills to handle emergency situations. This organization was established in response to security threats and plays a key role in protecting high-ranking officials.
Presidential transportation
The aircraft “Air India One,” used exclusively for the Prime Minister of India, is equipped with advanced security features, including missile defense systems, to ensure the safety of its passengers. Its luxurious interior provides comfort for around 15 to 20 passengers, including security personnel and advisors. The plane also has in-flight refueling capabilities, allowing for long-duration flights without the need to land. Additionally, it is fitted with advanced communication systems, facilitating constant contact with ground control and other aircraft during flights.
The official vehicle of the Prime Minister of India is the “Mercedes-Benz S-600 Pullman Guard.” This luxury car is specially designed for the safety and comfort of high-ranking officials. It features bulletproof armor and advanced security systems that protect against various threats. The interior is extremely luxurious and equipped with modern technology and communication facilities. This vehicle is typically used for official trips and important ceremonies.
